$IONS Token
$IONS (glyph ꙮ) is the planned flagship utility token of the Monsterion economy — the in-game currency, the staking asset, and the token that the project's revenue and marketplace buybacks flow back into.
$IONS is not launched yet. There is no $IONS contract, claim, or presale. The parameters below describe the intended design. What $IONS is for
The vision for $IONS is a token with real, recurring utility — not just trading volume:
- Buy skins — the in-game currency for cosmetic hero/monster skins (limited to 100 editions each). See Primary Skin Shop.
- Marketplace buybacks — the secondary skins marketplace skims a 9.6% fee on each resale; half (4.8%) is used to buy back $IONS and burn it. See Secondary Marketplace & Fees.
- Staking — stake $IONS for badge tiers and variable rewards paid in PYUSD and JupSOL. See Staking and The Flywheel.
- Game-revenue funnel — revenue from game sales on Steam, the App Store, and Google Play is funneled back into the project / the $IONS economy.
- Monster mutations, creator tips, event access — additional in-game sinks.
How value flows back to $IONS
$IONS is designed to be continuously bought back and burned while real-world revenue flows in behind it:
- Marketplace buybacks — 4.8% of every secondary skin resale buys $IONS and burns it.
- Store-revenue funnel — Steam / App Store / Google Play game sales are funneled back into the project and the token economy.
- Trading volume — once launched, $IONS trading volume can feed an immutable fee module routing a slice of every trade into the flywheel (reserve, liquidity, keepers).
Together these are intended to create recurring buy pressure and a shrinking effective supply, backed by actual game revenue rather than speculation alone.
