The mechanic
$gIONS is a burn-to-unlock relic: you send it to the official burn address to unlock exclusive OG on-chain skins — early, one-of-a-kind cosmetics reserved for the alpha believers.
Because redemption destroys the token, every unlock permanently reduces the $gIONS supply. This creates a one-way ratchet of scarcity: the circulating supply only ever shrinks, and the OG skins it unlocks can never be unlocked again once the supply is gone.
